Fun for All Ages: Discover One of London's Best Indoor Play Places
by Daniel Reid

There are kids who sit quietly. And then there are mine.
Mine are the kind who can’t pass a staircase without trying to jump off it. Who believe couches are for flipping onto their sides, not sitting. Who somehow manage to pull the shower curtain down on their heads every single time they have a shower.
So when I’m searching for indoor play places, I’m not just looking for somewhere “fun.” I’m looking for somewhere that can handle them. The library? We love it there, but we’re definitely on a list of some kind. But Flying Squirrel? Flying Squirrel can handle them and their chaotic, fun-loving, silly energy.
Finally, a Place Where Chaos Is the Goal
From the second I stepped inside, I knew I’d found a winner. Foam pits. Trampolines. Ropes, nets, climbing walls—every surface basically dared my kids to run, jump, or launch themselves at it. And they did. With glee.
The Adventure Soft Playground is a personal favourite of my youngest. She climbed, slid, bounced, and giggled until she was one big, sweaty ball of hair and happiness. Meanwhile, I sat nearby without clutching an ice pack or scanning for the closest walk-in clinic. That alone was worth the price of admission.
The Trampolines Deserve Their Own Paragraph
Let’s talk about the trampolines. Not the backyard kind—the wall-to-wall, high-bounce, gravity-defying kind. Flying Squirrel London takes trampoline parks to a whole new level. Instead of thinking of Flying Squirrel London as a place that has trampolines, it’s really more realistic to think of Flying Squirrel London as a giant trampoline that has other fun attractions like the battlebeam, aerial silks and dodgeball court.
I honestly wish I could rent the place out just to settle disputes at home. "You want the last cookie? To the BattleBeam!" “Brush your teeth before bed and you can play one game in the arcade!”
Looking for Indoor Play Places in London? This Is It
There are a lot of fun indoor spots around London—Storybook Gardens when the weather’s warm, Adventures on Wonderland for younger kids, and the Children’s Museum when you’re in a more low-key mood. But for pure energy-busting, Flying Squirrel wins, hands down.
There’s something magical about a place where your kids can go absolutely bananas and not break something (aside from a sweat). It’s loud, it’s fun, it’s padded—and it’s a total lifesaver on those grey, rainy Ontario days that seem to stretch on forever.
Parents Deserve a Break Too
What I love most? I actually get to enjoy myself. I’m not hovering like a helicopter parent. I’m not jumping up every five minutes to stop a meltdown or clean up a spill. I’m watching my kids go full blast, safely, while I sit and sip my coffee and try to avoid looking at my phone for a few minutes.
We’ll Be Back—Again and Again
Flying Squirrel London is one of those places that makes parenting feel a little easier. It’s the top of our list for indoor play places because it checks every box: it’s fun, it’s safe, it wears them out, and it lets me catch my breath. And honestly, what more could you ask for?
So if your kids are anything like mine—wild, wonderful, and always one ill-advised somersault away from disaster—do yourself a favour.
