A well-documented 1980 NASA study revealed many benefits of trampoline fitness:
- Improves balance and coordination, muscular strength (core!) and endurance.
- Increases lung and cardio capacity
- Encourages strong bilateral motor skills (both sides of the body working together)
- Helps with rhythm, lymphatic circulation and more!
In addition, NASA measured the G-forces to be equal at the ankle, back, and forehead while jumping on a trampoline, while the G-forces at the ankle while running were found to be twice as much as the back and forehead. This means trampolining is easier on your joints than running!
While it can be a very intense workout (if you want it to be!), participants are encouraged to go at their own pace and the instructor will be happy to suggest modifications to suit all fitness levels.
